The first weekend of December, Microsoft came to RIT to have a Game Jam. A Game Jam is a 48 hour period where developers get together with artists, sound guys, and other game lovers to make a game that fits a theme set by those hosting it. There is little sleep had by all, but lots of creative freedom and fun (and frustration!) The team I was apart of made a game for Windows Phone 7, called Gust. It is in the vein of Myst and classic point and clicks, where the players roams the environment and solve puzzles. We did not fully complete the game (there is no end or finale) but we all had a great time and made our fist mobile title. There is even music! Below is the first of five gameplay videos. Enjoy!
The team has not yet met again to decide whether to continue the project or not. I think there is great potential though!
